Latest NewsOMD US Names Chris Geraci Managing Director for National TV BuyingMarch 14, 2008OMD today announced that Chris Geraci has been appointed Managing Director of National Broadcast Investment, effective immediately. A veteran of OMD and Omnicom for more than 20 years, Chris most recently held the position of Director of National Broadcast Investment. Chris is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of a team of more than 100 buyers working on behalf of over 80 national advertisers. He has also been named to the OMD Operating Council. Chris replaces Debbie Richman, another long-time Omnicom veteran of 11 years who was at OMD when it was first formed as a buying unit. She will pursue a new challenge leading sales efforts at Lifetime Networks. "It is gratifying to see a ‘home grown’ talent like Chris advance and thrive in our organization," said Page Thompson, CEO of OMD North America. "His extensive experience and ability to craft innovative deals have given us a tremendous advantage. He brings a new dimension to the role with his expertise in emerging media, having headed up our NEXT initiative from a buying perspective and developing successful cross-platform deals." Chris is supported by a stellar team headed up by regional directors, Sharon Cullen in the East and Stacey Larson in the West. Chris began his advertising career in 1987 at BBDO New York, working his way through the ranks to become Director of National Television Buying in July 2000. That same year, he played an integral role in the formation of the OMD National TV Buying group. "Debbie leaves behind a legacy of OMD being recognized as the industry’s gold standard in buying," said Thompson. "We thank her for her many contributions and wish her the best in her new role." |
