Omnicom Media Group: Marco Girelli Appointed CEO of Omnicom Media Group Italy

Colin Gottlieb, CEO of Omnicom Media Group, Europe, Middle East and Africa, announces that effective Monday, June 8, 2009, Marco Girelli will succeed Roberto Binaghi as CEO of Omnicom Media Group, Italy.

Marco Girelli is a seasoned and entrepreneurial communications professional. In 1983, Girelli was a founding member of Blumedia, which has since become CIA Medianetwork. There he held several senior positions before becoming CEO in Italy and a member of the European CDA. After several years at Fullsix, beginning in 2001, Girelli became president of Mediaedge:cia and then president of GroupM Italy. In 2008 he became Director of Strategic Marketing and Multimedia at RCS Pubblicità.
