OMD are placed 12th in the prestigious listing – the only Australian media or advertising agency to make the top 50 list. OMD were also listed as the sixth multinational to be included in the list, alongside the likes of Google, Diageo and Deloitte. OMD were acknowledged for their "Weird, Wonderful and Quirky" attributes including ‘recruiting for attitude – training for talent’, and the employment of 30 graduates in 2008 as a result of relationships built with key universities to identify talent. OMD’s diversity was also singled out, with 67.6% women of their total staff ratio including working mums, a high level of ethnicity and international employees. Listening was listed as one of OMD’s best practices – believing in the adage "people leave managers, not companies" OMD continue to invest heavily in their managers and leaders with training and regular, structured feedback.
